Blackjack Description:

The object of blackjack is that you want to have a hand value that is closer to 21 than that of the dealer, without going over 21. Your hand is strictly played out against the hand of the dealer.

How to play blackjack

Both dealer and players are dealt two cards. Player cards are dealt face up and one dealer card is dealt face up. Two cards totaling 21 is a blackjack. The combination can be any Ace with any card with a value of 10.

Blackjack Deck

The deck of cards can consist of any number of decks from 1 to 8. The mumber of decks effects the odds of the house slightly. The more decks the better the odds for the house. The casino lobby indicates the number of decks used in each game.

Cards Value

In blackjack, the cards are valued as follows: An Ace can count as either 1 or 11. The cards from 2 through 9 are valued as indicated. The 10, Jack, Queen, and King are valued at 10.

The Players Hand

After the cards are dealt the player must play his/her hand first. The player hand has several options that may vary at different tables. These options are indicated in the casino lobby when choosing a game.

STAND- The player chooses this if he/she wishes to stand with the cards they have.

HIT- The dealer gives the player another card.

BUST- Player total goest over 21 and the hand is automatically a loser.

DOUBLE- Player can choose to take only one hit and double the amount of his/her bet. This option may vary in how it is offered. Some tables allow double on any two cards and some allow it only one a combination that equals 9,10 or 11. These options are indicated in our casino lobby. Some tables may even offer a late double that can be played after the player already has 3 cards. The double option, if played correctly can be very beneficial for the black jack player.

SPLIT- If the player has two cards of equal value, he/she can choose to split the cards into two hands by doubling the amount of the bet. In this case blackjack is not recognized. Some tables allow players to split multiple time. As with double, if played correctly split can increase player odds significantly.

Some games will not allow to resplit Aces and a lot of games will not allow to hit after splitting Aces. Games that allow you to resplit aces and hit after splitting aces are a big advantage for the player.

INSURANCE- If the dealer's face up card is an Ace players have the option to purchase Insurance. Insurance in blackjack generally payes 2:1 and is indicated on the table. Insurance is like a side bet on whether the dealer has blackjack or not. If the dealer has blackjack the insurance be is a winner.

EVEN MONEY- Even Money is sometimes used when a player is dealt a blackjack and the dealer has a face up Ace. The player can take an Even Money payout of 1:1 instead of the usual 1.5:1 and avoid the risk of the dealer having a blackjack which would result in a push.

SURRENDER- If the player is unsatisfied with the first 2 cards and feels the dealer has a much better chance then the player can surrender and only lose half the bet amount. Surrender is generally a house favorable option.

PUSH- Push is when a player equals the total the dealer has. The player receives his/her bet amount back.

MIN/MAX BET- Min Bet: displays the minimum bet amount required to play a hand. Max bet: displays the maximum bet amount allowed to play a hand.

MULTI-HANDS- Some black jack games allow a player to play multiple hands in the same game. A player can play either one, two or three hands simultaneously, depending on the game. These options are indicated in the casino lobby when choosing a game.

STORED GAMES- In the event the player looses it's internet connection or closes his/her browser window, the game in progress will be stored intact and will have his/her game in progress available the next time the game is opened.

THE DEALERS HAND

Dealer 1- Dealer stands on soft 17 and hits on 16. Soft is any combination of the dealer reaching the sum of 17 counting the Ace as an 11. The dealer must take a hit on any sum lower than a 17.

Dealer 2- Similar to option 1 except dealer hits soft 17 and stands on soft 18 or higher. Therefore if the dealer has a 6 and an Ace, the dealer would take a hit here. In option 1 the dealer would not. Option slightly increases house odds.

STRATEGY- Blackjack is a very strategic game. The player has several choices tha can make the house odds the lowest in the casino. For starters, pick a table from our lobby that best suits your game. For the basic strategy most commonly used, click player card in the game menu. With this strategy the player can make the best decsions on how to play the hand, however the player still needs a keen eye for when to press up the bet and when to back down.
